California Poppy, aka Escholzia Californica is a member of the Papaveraceae family that's native to the Western United States and Mexico. The California Poppy has brilliantly orange petals that close at night and during inclement weather, yet open up wide under the rays of the sun. This herb is most commonly combined with botanical formulations and drunk as a tea, or macerated as a tincture.
