Rooibos is an ultra fine, delicate tea that has a hearty red color producing a deep scarlet brew. Celebrated for its superior, natural sweetness, smooth and succulent palate and aromatic aftertaste, Rooibos is as healthful as it is enjoyable. Rooibos Tea is often served black, because it is naturally sweet tasting, although sugar and cream can be added. It is a caffeine-free beverage that is also high in antioxidants. The general recommendation for brewing rooibos tea is to use 1 1/2 teaspoons of tea leaves for every 8 ounces of boiling water. Then, let the tea steep for at least 5 to 6 minutes.
