Bupleurum, aka Bupleurum Chinense, is a member of the Apiaceae family and is also referred to as Chai Hu in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Native to East Asia, Bupleurum has umbels of yellow flowers and sickle-shaped leaves. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it's employed for its potentially beneficial properties, and in moving qi (energy) throughout your system. Burpleurum is able to be decocted or extracted.
